ROMAN GODS

Roman mythology is the body of traditional stories pertaining to ancient Rome's legendary origins and religious system, as represented in the literature and visual arts of the Romans. "Roman mythology" may also refer to the modern study of these representations, and to the subject matter as represented in the literature and art of other cultures in any period.

Well, after a little information about the roman gods we have an announcement: Our 2nd grade students have studied about them!!! WOW! That was a very interesting topic and they have investigated 12 gods and goddesses. We have done an english activity and we've worked the symbols and the characteristics of each one and we put all the information in a minibook made by us.

ANCIENT EGYPT

Ancient Egypt was a civilization of ancient Northeastern Africa, concentrated along the lower reaches of the Nile River in what is now the modern country of Egypt. It is one of six civilizations to arise independently.

Our 2nd Grade students were really in learning about this culture so they have made the Project of ancient egypt. One of the things they wanted to know was how dress was like at that time, so we've decided to learn that new vocabulary in English. We've made an articulated cardboard doll from an Egyptian and learned the names of the clothes he wore and we've also made an egyptian necklace.

It was wonderful to learn in such a fun way!

THE PRAYING MANTIS PROJECT

In 2nd Grade we have done an innovative Project about the Praying Mantis . The students wanted to know many things about this curious insect and they have investigated a lot about it.

We also talk about the body parts of this animal but we've done it in english so they could enlarge their english vocabulary. We learned things such as, wings, abdomen, antenee, legs and thorax. Then with cardboards we've made an incredible Praying Mantis where we've reflected how much we have learned.

As a curiosity: The praying mantis is named for its prominent front legs, which are bent and held together at an angle that suggests the position of prayer. The larger group of these insects is more properly called the praying mantids. Mantis refers to the genus mantis, to which only some praying mantids belong.

OUR SENSES PROJECT

Hello everyone!

In 3rd Grade we have been working in our english Project named ''Our Senses''. In groups we have done an activity which consisted of representing a sense each group. They worked hard and they used their imagination and creativity.

It was very important the cooperation and the teamwork so they had to collaborate and come to an agreement. They did it really well!

Oh! Of course the exposition were in english so they had to prepare what and how they were going to explain each part of they project.

There's is also a video, check it!

They all did it fantastic!
